About Volume Converter
Volume conversions hide a trap: there are two different "gallons" in common use. A US gallon is 3.785 litres, a UK (Imperial) gallon is 4.546 litres — about 20% larger. The same split runs through pints, quarts, and fluid ounces. Recipes, fuel economy figures, and beer-glass sizes can all be off by a fifth if you grab the wrong gallon, which is a much bigger margin than people expect.

Why is the same dish's flour weight more reliable than its volume?
